Robert de Socio




Robert de Socio, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, came aboard Aberdeen Proving Ground's U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion & Preventive Medicine (CHPPM) in 1991 as an Environmental Technician. Robert travels often to army bases throughout the United States and the world to test for environmental contaminents and other health hazards that may be present. He has traveled to Puerto Rico, Kwajaleen Atoll, Hawaii, Guam, and several continental U.S. bases.

In May 1999, Robert de Socio was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the highest medal issued to civillian employees of the U.S. Army, for superior performance of duty.
